Ingredients:
- 2 lemons
- 4 apples
- 125g blanched almonds
- 100g butter
- 2 tspn vanilla essence
- 300g caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 150ml milk
- 5 tbs undeniable flour
- 1 1/2 tspn baking powder
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 150degC
- Line a 23cm baking tin with paper. Grease flippantly.
- Grate lemon zest.
- Peel, core and slice apples finely.
- Grind almonds to a reliable-attempting flour.
- Soften butter.
- Mix sugar with vanilla essence.
- Beat vanilla sugar and eggs collectively til thick and light-weight.
- Slowly add milk and melted butter.
- Fold almond flour into the undeniable flour, then gallop into the batter.
- Add the baking powder, zest and 3/4 of the apple. Fold.
- Pour into willing baking tin, and establish the final apple over the head. Scatter with 1 tbs sugar.
- Bake 60 mins. Gain from tin when cool.
