Ingredients:
- 2 eggs, seperated
- 1 c sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c shortening
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 c milk
- 1 1/2 c fresh blueberries
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Beat egg whites till stiff, add about 1/4 cup of sugar to protect them stiff.
- Cream shortening, adding salt and vanilla.
- Add final sugar to this step by step.
- Add unbeaten egg yolks and beat till it’s mild and creamy.
- Add the sifted dry substances alternately with milk.
- Fold in overwhelmed egg whites.
- Fold in the blueberries (relate a chunk of of the flour referred to as for and gently shake the berries in it so that they wont identify).
- Pour correct into a greased 8 x 8 pan.
- Sprinkle high of the batter with some granulated sugar.
- Bake for 50 – 60 minutes.
