I am always up for a fight, particularly when it involves meals. So when a colleague urged that meat had no taste, I argued…after which grew silent. onion, thinly sliced

coriander seeds, dry roasted and overwhelmed

cumin seeds, dry roasted and overwhelmed

tomato puree

passata or sieved tomato sauce

garlic, minced or chopped in little bits

paprika

200 milliliters
vegetable stock (or made up with a stock dice and water)

kidney beans (from a tin, rinsed and drained)

white beans e.g cannellini (from a tin, rinsed and drained)

granulated sugar

chili pepper

Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat, and after a minute add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Slide and let cook dinner slowly till the onions launch to grab on coloration, about 5 minutes.
- Add the overwhelmed coriander and cumin seeds and the tomato puree. Let cook dinner for a minute or two, stirring your complete time after which add the passata, garlic, paprika, stock, beans, sugar and chili pepper (if using).
- Let stew slowly on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring on occasion. Taste and alter seasoning as you need.
- When ready, crush some beans using your cooking spoon to thicken, if the sauce is simply too thin.
- While the sauce is cooking, boil some cannelloni. That you can construct ‘assemble your obtain’ in which the sauce is stuffed into fully cooked cannelloni shells once it be ready.
- That you can cook dinner the cannelloni till 5 minutes from ready, then private with sauce, top with some cheese and bake at 180 deg C for 10 – 12 minutes.
