Flemish Purple meat Stew
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Belgian sad trappist beer or tall beer or porter
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 3 onions , thinly sliced
- 1 parsley sprig
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 French bread (worn)
- 2 oz. chopped salt pork
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 lb red meat chuck , in chunks
