- ½ tsp. almond extract
- ½ cup cake flour scooped and leveled
For the Frosting:
- 4 oz semi-candy baking chocolate
- 1 tsp rapid dried Espresso
- ¾ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ cup lightly toasted sliced almonds
To Fetch the Cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Grease and flour one 8″ cake pan.
Butter and flour an 8-inch round pan.
Place the chocolate and rapid espresso or coffee in a double boiler with almost simmering water; let soften while you proceed with the recipe.
