Creamy Asian Green Beans

A creamy Asian sauce and crunchy difficult almonds affords this untraditional green bean recipe masses of flavor.

  • 3/4 cup

    vegetable or chicken inventory

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons

    soy sauce

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons

    crimson or white miso

  • 3/4 teaspoon

    ground ginger

  • 5 oz.

    cream cheese, at room temperature

  • 4 tablespoons

    loyal onion, chopped

  • 6 oz.

    medium shitake mushrooms, stems removed and sliced

  • 1

    loyal crimson bell pepper, stemmed, seeded and carve back into tiny julienne strips

  • 3

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 1/2 pounds

    contemporary green beans, stem ends trimmed

  • 2/3 cup

    Blue Diamond Courageous Wasabi & Soy Sauce Almonds, coarsely chopped

  • New cilantro leaves (non-compulsory garnish)

  1. Run together broth, soy sauce, miso, ginger and cream cheese in a tiny saucepan location over medium-low heat. Cook till cheese is melted, whisking most incessantly. Simmer over low heat for five minutes, whisking on occasion.
  2. Soften butter in a loyal skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook dinner for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden brown and extremely soft, stirring on occasion. Trip in mushrooms, bell pepper and garlic cook dinner for 2 to a runt while more to frivolously soften. Add sauce to skillet.
  3. Steam green beans for 4 minutes or till crisp-soft. Drain correctly then add to skillet, tossing to coat with sauce. Cook for just a few minutes more or till hot and bubbly.
  4. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with almonds and cilantro, if desired.
  5. Recipe tip:
    Sauce can also very correctly be bright a day ahead and saved tightly covered in the refrigerator. For one more creamy sauce, add 1 oz. extra cream cheese.
