/2 pound flooring turkey sausage

onion, finely chopped

medium carrot, chopped

celery stalk, chopped

garlic cloves, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds

/2 teaspoon overwhelmed red pepper flakes

cups low-salt vegetable or hen broth

cup long- or short-grain brown rice

/2 pound spinach, roughly chopped

/2 pound Swiss chard or kale, middle ribs and stems eliminated, roughly chopped

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Heat oil in a dapper pot over medium-high warmth. Add sausage and cook, breaking up into minute pieces with a wooden spoon, except browned, about 5 minutes. Transfer sausage to a plate.
