  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk, room temperature
  • 2 apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, ideally mccormick
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon, ideally mccormick
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar
  • 2 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • caramel, to brighten
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and line two 8-hotfoot round cake pans.
  2. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon collectively.
  3. Beat butter and sugar collectively in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a hasten attachment except delicate and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating except integrated. Add the vanilla extract and beat to embody.
